Growing up, I never picked up conventional art (i.e. drawing) for too long. It didn't speak to me and I was never any good at it in the first place. I grew up engulfed in a world of technology which I've embraced with open arms. I made some music in DAWs like GarageBand and Logic Pro back in high school, most of which is lost media at this point. I'd love to go back some time but nothing I made back then's really worth showing off. High school is also when I picked up digital art. You can check out much of my works on the portfolio tab of this site. I like to work with a variety of digital mediums, but tend to focus on static and visual works made using Pixelmator Pro (although I have used Photoshop and Illustrator in the past).
Update 2025-03-26
Reversing course on what I said here because I started making some music remixes again, came across some
of my older work, and wanted to put it up here for preservation's sake. Older and newer work can be
found under the music tab. Not everything is there yet but I'm working on it. Some works I'm choosing to
keep as lost media. 🙃
I believe much of my philosophy on art comes from my exposure to contemporary works in GE college classes. I truly believe anything can be art, so long as it either challenges conventions, pushes boundaries, or most importantly emanates the voice of the artist. Beneath all the formalisms and strict adherences to retinal pandering, whatever impact is left on the viewer, the artist themselves, and how it permeates the world at large is what truly counts. It gives life meaning.
